Flu season is upon us, and we want to help protect your health by giving all our members with Extras cover access to a free flu shot this winter.
Getting a flu shot is your single best protection against catching the flu and getting seriously ill from associated complications. So, we want to make it as easy as possible for our members to get their flu shot.

How to book
Book online at TerryWhite Chemmart
Booking your free flu shot is easy. Click the button below to book an appointment with your local TerryWhite Chemmart at a time that's convenient for you. At your appointment, simply present your Astute Simplicity Health membership card – there’s no payment or claim needed. This offer is available until 31 July 2026.

Visit a pharmacy or GP of your choice
You can also go to a pharmacy or GP of your choice. Keep the itemised receipt from your appointment and submit a claim. The benefit can be claimed on vaccinations administered on or before 31 December 2026 at any registered pharmacy or from a general practitioner.
2026 Influenza Vaccination Benefit – Terms and Conditions
The Department of Health advise that annual influenza vaccination should occur anytime from April onwards and that the peak flu season is generally June to September.

Receiving your free vaccination from a TerryWhite Chemmart
Eligible members** can access standard influenza vaccination from any TerryWhite Chemmart nationally. If an eligible member books their appointment for standard influenza vaccination at the TerryWhite Chemmart appointment booking website using code AST-M43GY2-5ZGS4AIH and shows the pharmacy their Astute Simplicity Health membership card at their appointment, the eligible member is not required to make a payment or claim for their influenza vaccination.
To receive the free influenza vaccination via TerryWhite Chemmart, you must have your influenza vaccination administered on or before 31 July 2026.
Receiving your vaccination from a registered Pharmacy of your choice
Alternatively, eligible members may choose to receive their vaccination from any registered pharmacy or from their general practitioner by paying upfront and submitting a claim via the normal Astute Simplicity Health channels.
Influenza virus vaccine nasal spray (FLUMIST) will attract a benefit when delivered in accordance with Therapeutic Goods Administration product information as outlined at this link.

Claims can be lodged via the Astute Simplicity Health claiming app, or by emailing astute@stlukes.com.au.
Astute Simplicity Health will cover a 2026 influenza vaccination, up to a maximum benefit of $25.95 including GST for each person covered on an Extras policy.
The benefit can be claimed on vaccinations administered on or before 31 December 2026 at any registered pharmacy or from a general practitioner. Astute Simplicity Health will not pay the benefit where reimbursement is received from any other source.
Other Terms and Conditions
**To be an eligible member, you must have Extras cover that is financial at the date of vaccination and have served the 2-month waiting period on Extras.

Ability to access influenza vaccine at a TerryWhite Chemmart is subject to;
- The availability of vaccines and other medicines or consumables to be able to deliver the influenza vaccine.
- The immunising pharmacist’s review and assessment of screening questions prior to vaccination to identify contraindications or precautions to vaccines to be administered
